How do I deactivate or delete my account?

If you would like to delete your carsales network account, this can be done within the 'Profile' section of your account.

*Please note, this will delete all carsales network accounts including those with other brands we administer displayed below:

To deactivate or delete your account on desktop 

  1. Click on 'Sign In' and enter your details to access your account.

  2. Once signed in, click on your name near the top right corner of the page, then 'Profile' which can be found in the drop-down list.



  3. Scroll to the end of the page and click on 'Remove this account'.



  4. Select the reason for closing the account, then press the 'Next' button.

  5. Decide if you want to Deactivate or Delete the account, then press 'Next'.

  6. You'll then see some details of what this action will mean for your account. To continue, please enter your password and press the button in the lower right corner to complete the process.

  7. You will then see this note to confirm the request has been received and is underway. You will not get a confirmation of this change via email. Please call our customer service team if you have any further enquiries.

  1. To do this via the carsales app, click on 'Account'.

     

  2. Sign in to your account by clicking on 'Sign in / Join', then enter your details.

  3. Click on 'Edit Profile' which is located under your account name.



  4. Scroll to the end of the profile page and click on 'Remove this account'.



  5. Select the reason for closing the account, then press the 'Next' button.
